Join us for the Rector's Bible Study !
Beginning this Thursday, April 16, the Rector's Bible study will be gathering online. The class will take place live each Thursday at noon through the popular online meeting program Zoom, but will also be recorded for viewing later in the day.

Below are the the instructions for downloading Zoom and joining the Bible study live.
Participate live through Zoom
This method allows you to join Jeff live during the Bible study, see your fellow attendees, and submit questions or notes to Jeff through the chat function. This method also allows Jeff to see that you are in the list of attendees and optionally on video, which is a real encouragement!

Getting Ready: Many have already downloaded Zoom for school, work, or other virtual gatherings, but if you have not previously downloaded this program, visit zoom.us/download. This website has the links to download the program for your computer, tablet, or smartphone. We recommend joining through a computer, if possible.

Once you've downloaded Zoom for your device, visit zoom.us/test to practice joining a meeting. You may also consider signing up for a free Zoom account at zoom.us/signup. Although an account is not required to access the Bible study meeting, it tends to make accessing the study easier.

Joining the Bible study on Thursday:

1 - A few minutes before noon on Thursday, click this link to join the Zoom meeting:

2 - The link will open a new tab in your internet browser and a pop-up will appear. On that pop-up, click "Open zoom.us" or "Allow" (see picture below). This will open the Bible study meeting in the Zoom program you downloaded.
3 - We would love for you to join the meeting with your video on (so Jeff and others can see you!) but we are happy to have you either way! We will be placing everyone on mute so that only the audio from Jeff will be heard. You will be able to submit chat messages to Jeff during the Bible study through this platform.
Can't join on Zoom? Watch the recording later on Thursday!
The Bible study is being recorded. Once the recording is prepared, we will email the links to watch on our YouTube and Vimeo channels (should receive emails by Thursday evening).
Other Notes and Troubleshooting Suggestions
If you have any technical difficulties or you miss the Bible study for any reason, you will still be able to access it on our Vimeo or YouTube channel later on Thursday. We will email the links once the recordings are posted.
We are here to help you if you have any questions about accessing the Bible study! The church office building is closed, but your church staff is still working remotely––please don't hesitate to reach out by replying to this email.
