World Environmental Education Day - Jan. 26th
|
|
You can never be too aware of the issues that impact our environment, both locally and globally. This January 26th, make it a goal to identify some of these issues and raise awareness about the need for participation in order to conserve and protect the environment.
Climate change is no joke: when learning about its causes and effects, take a moment to consider what you can do to to help mitigate its impacts. For example, you could spread some helpful knowledge about renewable energies and support businesses and organizations that strive for sustainability!

2022 HHW Event Schedule Released

Beginning in April, residents are once again encouraged to bring their Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) to one (or a couple!) of this year's 7 special drop-off events, sponsored by RRRASOC and our member communities. Getting a Head Start - Gathering Your HHW
It's key to know which products in your household are considered Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) before bringing them to a collection event. These products are used in or around your home and may have one of these characteristics on the label: Corrosive, Toxic, Poisonous, Flammable, or Ignitable.
Cleaners that contain strong acids, bleach or ammonia are also considered hazardous and can be brought to a collection event.
