Wrestling Team Wins DII State Championship

The Bishop Watterson boys wrestling team won the Division II State Championship, the first team championship in the history of the program. This is the third team state championship for Bishop Watterson during the 2024-25 school year, with football and girls soccer winning state championships in the fall!


Senior Mitchell Younger won his third individual state title at 144 lbs. (2022, 2023, 2024). Sophomore Michael Boyle took his second consecutive state title, winning at 215 lbs. His win in 2023 was at 165 lbs.

The Eagles also had two runners-up: junior James Lindsay at 150 lbs. and freshman Tommy Rowlands at 138 lbs. Freshman Thomas Lindsay finished 4th at 132 lbs.

Dominican Program

Bishop Watterson’s Dominican Program team is focused on helping students who need academic, emotional and transitional support. The team, in collaboration with teachers, provides additional resources and instruction to meet each student’s unique needs, with the ultimate goal of preparation for college and life after high school.
