Winter Cheer Clinic for Grades K-6

Save the date for our annual feeder school Winter Cheer Clinic for students in grades K-6! It will be held on February 10 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. with a performance at halftime of the varsity boys basketball game on February 15. The deadline to register is January 30.

Group of Seniors Inducted to International
Thespian Society
Twelve BWHS seniors were inducted into the International Thespian Society (ITS) in December. ITS is the world’s largest honor society for theatre students. The designation “Thespian” includes members who excel in technical and production fields as well as performance in their high school theatre.
Charity Drives Help Numerous Organizations
Improving the lives of others has been the focus of Bishop Watterson’s service efforts during the weeks leading up to Christmas, with weekly collections for the benefit of local charitable organizations. Students and staff collected almost $10,000 and nearly 10,000 items during November and December.

Mothers' Club Upcoming Events
All Moms Welcome!
Moms who attended the Mothers' Club Christmas Charity and Social Event assembled 200 gift bags for cancer patients at Kobacker House. They also made gifts for BWHS staff. We are so fortunate to have this active organization!
Evening of Reflection
Save the date for our Evening of Reflection, February 20 at 7:00 p.m. in Dominican Hall. With a theme of Sharing Faith with Our Children ,
Fr. Tony Davis will discuss ways to incorporate helping our students build a faith community. Fr. Davis, who was ordained in 2015, is the pastor of St. Matthias Church.

Art with Heart Christmas Project

Members of our Art with Heart Club, whose goal is to use our artistic talents to spread hope and encouragement in our community, decorated glass ornaments at its first meeting. The ornaments will be given to families of cancer patients assisted by Hope Hollow. At the next club meeting in January, club members will be painting canvases with inspirational messages to hang at Community Kitchen.
Girls Soccer Honors
Our girls soccer coach, Scott Dempsey, was honored recently with induction to the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame. In addition, senior Emma Schossler was named First-Team All State and junior Isabella Ginocchi was named Second-Team All State. Congratulations to all!

Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration will be held January 16, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending with Benediction at 2:45 p.m. Our feeder school parents are welcome! Park in the visitor spots on Foster Street and press the button at the main door on Cooke Road to come in and spend a holy hour with Our Lord. Students and faculty are also invited to come to the chapel during lunchtime, study hall or Theology class.

College Credit Plus Meeting Jan. 28
Want to find our more information on how students can earn college credit while in high school? Please plan to attend the College Credit Plus Parent Information meeting on January 28, 2019, 7:00 pm in Dominican Hall. You will learn about the benefits and risks of participating in College Credit Plus, in addition to what courses Bishop Watterson will offer for the 2019-20 school year.
