Merry Christmas!

It's finals week at Bishop Watterson but our students have found many ways to celebrate this holy season!

Fr. Paul Noble, our chaplain, is celebrating Mass each morning before exams begin for students who want to arrive a bit early.

Christmas trees have been popping up all over the school, from Mrs. Meineke's book trees in the library to Mrs. Gruver's biology and forensics tree, Dr. Nic's annual ChemisTree and Mrs. Summanen's tree decorated with ornaments from projects in Spanish classes.

Chapel Opens After Renovation and Expansion

Bishop Fernandes visited last week to celebrate the first Mass in our renovated and expanded chapel after seven months of construction work. Bishop Watterson's chapel sits in the center of the school, the heart of our school community.

Serving at the Mass were seminarians and alumni Deacon Sam Severance '14 and Sam Mahle '24.

Football Team Wins State Championship

In a rematch from last year’s Division III State Championship game, the Eagles came out on top this year, defeating Central Catholic of Toledo 19-14. Through the regular season and playoffs BWHS went undefeated at 16-0 and outscored opponents 639-111.

We are working with two local companies on official state championship shirts and sweatshirts. If you're planning to order we would appreciate you patronizing these vendors as a percentage will come back to Bishop Watterson! Click on the button to see all options available.

Thank you for your support.

Season of Giving

Our students and staff came through for a couple of charitable organizations during our annual Season of Giving!

The food drive brought in 8,500 non-perishable food items for the St. Francis Center in Mcarthur, Ohio, while the toy drive resulted in $4,563 for Student Council to spend on items for the St. Lawrence Haven Christmas store.

Class of 2025 Friendsgiving

A recent tradition for our senior classes has been Friendsgiving on the Friday before Thanksgiving. With the support of volunteer parents and our Mothers' Club the seniors enjoyed a meal together to celebrate their class, their school and their friendships.
