Can you believe that we are officially halfway through the year? It has been a fast and furious six months and the upcoming months may get more intense as we head into the polls soon. The Chamber will do our best to keep you updated on important dates however, you are encouraged to visit or share the Guam Election Commission website link for updated election-related information. We'll also keep you posted on issues important to the business community to give you food for thought as you contemplate which candidate will receive one of your important votes.
As they do each election season, our Guam Young Professionals (GYP) has scheduled a YOU DECIDE Legislative Forum in August. Attendees will hear from senatorial hopefuls about the issues they are interested in tackling if they are elected into office. The Forum will take place over two scheduled dates, one day will feature democrat candidates and the next will feature republican candidates. Each event will allow participants to meet one-on-one with the candidates in an informal setting. Scroll down for details about the Forum.
Your Chamber will be hosting a Congressional Forum featuring candidates for congress from the Democrat Party on July 31st. This will take the place of our normally scheduled general membership meeting. Scroll down to save your spot as seating will be limited. It will surely be an interesting discussion!
The heat of summer is upon us as we look forward to Independence Day and Liberation Day activities. As you make plans for the holiday weekend, we hope that you will take a few minutes to scroll through this newsletter to calendar events that could help you and your business. Your Chamber Business Women's Network is hosting a brown bag event at the Chamber Office on Thursday, July 18th from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. This is a program that provides an opportunity for our members to engage, grow, and support each other. We are pleased to have the experts from Behavioral Health of American Medical Center who will focus on "Stress and Anxiety Management". Members are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch and the Chamber will provide drinks and desserts. Seating is limited and RSVP is required with a payment fee of $10.00.

Senatorial Forum Series & Mixer
The Guam Young Professional is pleased to present a two-part Forum Series & Mixer scheduled for Thursday, August 22, 2024, and Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the Guam Chamber Office from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This forum will feature Democrat Candidates on the 22nd, and Republican Candidates on the 29th, and will be followed by a mixer, for a one-on-one conversation, before heading to the polls and casting your ballot at the General Election scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Primary Election: Saturday, August 3rd
As a registered voter in Guam, your Chamber Team would like to remind you that the primary election is just around the corner! On Saturday, August 3, 2024, you'll have the opportunity to cast your ballot and help shape the future of our island. If you eagerly can not wait to cast your ballot, early voting will begin on Monday, July 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Westin Resort Guam. Early voting will end on Monday, July 29th. Make sure to exercise your right to vote and have a say in the candidates who will represent you.
Find out your voter registration status by clicking here or by visiting the Guam Election Commission's website to confirm your polling location to ensure a smooth voting experience. Don't miss this chance to make a difference in Guam's political landscape. We advise registered voters that YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CROSS political parties this election. If you cross parties during early voting (July 15 - 29th) and on August 3rd, your ballot will not be valid. The General Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024. S.A.M.E. Guam Post Announces Registration And Sponsorship Opportunities for the Guam Industry Forum 2024
The Guam Post of the Society of American Engineers (S.A.M.E.) announced the opening of registration and sponsorship opportunities for the Guam Industry Forum 2024 scheduled for November 14-16, 2024, at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort.

The 2024 event features three days of engaging activities: a two-day Guam Industry Forum 2024, an island facilities window tour, and the annual Charlie Corn Scholarship Golf Tournament on November 16. Interested attendees can now register for the 2024 S.A.M.E. Guam Industry Forum at guamindustryforum.com and take advantage of early bird fees until September 1st. Returning and potential sponsors can download the sponsorship packet from the event’s website or reach out via email to guamindustryforum@gmail.com.

80th Guam Liberation
Block Party
Kick off the Liberation festivities with the Guam 80th Liberation Day Block Party with this year's theme of “Todu I Tiempo I Pås Para Hita” which translates to “Peace For Us Always”. This event is scheduled for Saturday, July 20th, and Sunday, July 21st, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to be held at the Chamorro Village & Paseo De Susana Park in Hagåtna. This event will feature food trucks, games, kids activities, live music, and international performance. Don’t go anywhere, on Sunday, the night will be lit with fireworks at 7:21 p.m.
This event is presented by the Office of the Governor, The Mayors’ Council of Guam, and the Guam Visitors Bureau! BIBA GUAM 80th LIBERATION!
