| Baptisms & belonging, hooray! | | |
In the coming weeks, we will have the joy of celebrating some baptisms in our parish community. Baptism is one of the great milestones of faith, a moment when we mark and celebrate God’s love at work in our lives.
If you have ever wondered about baptism for yourself or your child, or if you are curious about confirmation or becoming a member of this church, I would love to talk with you. Whether you are just beginning to ask questions or feel ready to take a next step, please reach out!
It would be a gift to walk with you as you explore these meaningful steps in the life of faith. You can reach me at 601-540-4037, jnewman@stmarksportroyal.org, or schedule an office visit through Natalie.

Easter Brunch, Egg Hunt & Surprise Guest! | |
We will celebrate the Risen Lord with an egg hunt and a champagne brunch between the services on Easter Sunday (Sunday, April 5). There will also be a SURPRISE GUEST APPEARANCE. We will serve hot cross buns, deviled eggs, fruit salad, mini quiches, and sausage biscuits.
Please let Jane Frederick (843 441 2030 or jane@f-farchitects.com) know if you would like to help with preparing food, setting up, cleaning up, stuffing eggs with candy, and/or hiding eggs.

The tradition of covering a barren cross with fresh flowers transforms it from a symbol of Christ’s crucifixion into a symbol of his resurrection. Placing the flowered cross on the church lawn after the service and into Easter Week reminds us, as well as those who pass by, of the continuing presence of Christ in the world.
You’ re invited once again to bring cut flowers to be placed on the cross on Sunday. Please contact Sallie Stone with any questions!

Special thanks to all who gathered to do 300 Easter Cards for our friends in local assisted living facilities. We have distributed them this week, and the folks are SO happy to get them.
Thanks for helping spread Easter joy to our friends and neighbors!
| April is Senior Hunger Awareness Month | | |
St. Mark’s along with other area congregations will be partnering with HELP of Beaufort in their “piggy” bank project, which will provide funds to assist senior citizens who are experiencing food insecurity.
Look for the SPAM “piggy banks” in the church and in the Center beginning April 12, which you can add to throughout the month. Stay tuned for more details.
Love,
The Outreach & Mission Committee
