Dear Family and Friends of South Cove Manor:
It has been a pleasure to see so much movement forward this week; residents returning to communal dining, group activities for residents being offered, and visits happening without reservations! While things are still not “normal,” we are several steps closer than we were a month ago.
I am writing today to tell you about a New England Spring tradition that South Cove Manor will be honored at. Opening Day for the Boston Red Sox has long been a sure sign of Spring’s arrival, and of new beginnings. This year, that is especially true, as we continue to emerge from the darkness of the previous 14 months.
As part of the opening day pre-game ceremonies, representatives from South Cove Manor will be honored by the Red Sox for our success in battling COVID-19, and keeping our residents and staff safe. We will be joining other health care providers from across Massachusetts, but we will be the ONLY Skilled Nursing Facility to receive this honor.
I hope that many of you are able to share in this event with us, by tuning in to NESN to watch the pre-game ceremonies, that are scheduled to begin around 1:15 PM on Thursday, April 1st. All of us at South Cove are incredibly proud of the work we have done throughout the pandemic, and are humbled by this honor.
Thank you again for placing your trust in South Cove Manor.
