A reminder that our annual meeting is this Sunday, February 9. The 2024 Annual Reports were distributed so please review them carefully. At the meeting, we will be making decisions about the capital campaign and more details will be made available regarding the pastoral transition.

Sunday, February 9 - 5th Sunday After Epiphany - 8:30 am, 9:45 am, and 11 am
We will gather for worship on Sunday. Come and be with us as we hear God's Word and receive Holy Communion.
Each week we depend on our worship leaders to help with the services. This week we are in need of an acolyte at the 8:30 am and a reader at the 9:45 am service. We thank all those who volunteer each week!

Educational Opportunities on Sunday – 9:45 am
Faith Formation, Confirmation, the High School "Bagels & Bible" classes, and Table Talk for adults will meet at 9:45 am.
Souper Bowl 2025 — At all three services
Help us predict who might win the Super Bowl. Drop any amount of money into the Eagles’ or Chiefs’ pot this Sunday and help feed a member of our community. We have it on good authority that the pot with the most money will win the Super Bowl! All proceeds will go to The Lamb Center, an organization that supports the homeless, food insecure, and unemployed in Fairfax County. Pastor Kessinger will have a special pot for the Steelers!
Interfaith Prayer Gathering for the Victims of the Air Tragedy— Today from 2-4 pm
An interfaith prayer gathering is being hosted through Tysons Interfaith on Sunday. Join this in-person event in Alexandria to pray for the victims, families, and emergency response teams affected by the recent plane crash at Reagan Airport. Registration is necessary; please register at this link.
Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area: Virtual Town Hall— February 11 at 12 pm
You are invited to join Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area (LSSNCA) on Tuesday at 12 pm for a virtual town hall meeting. The focus of the meeting will be to learn more about how the organization is pivoting due to the policy changes that have been put in place. We will also learn how we can be of service. Good Grub and God Dinner — February 18, 7 PM

Annual Lenten Retreat— February 22 from 10 am to 4 pm
Every year we get together on a Saturday, right before Lent, and spend the day introducing our theme for the Lenten season. This year our theme will be "Build Character." We will highlight the qualities of different Biblical figures, relate them to people who share those same gifts, and then work on some ways to develop our own "character.”
Come engage in this time of fellowship. We will pray together and study God’s Word together. The cost is $25, which includes snacks and lunch and the cost of the room which is located in Reston. Scholarships are available through Pastor Kessinger.
