Bishop Hirsch Visit and Lunch

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

February 17 from 6 to 7 pm

Bring your neighbors, friends, and family! Featuring "Art is Served", an exhibit by Redeemer Renaissance Artists.

All donations made at the dinner will support the Natural Play Area Improvement Project.

Meal Packages for Britepaths Food4thought Program

Youth are invited to join us in Fellowship Hall after morning classes to pack meals for students in our community. This project is possible due to the funds raised at our bake sale in December. Good Beginnings at Redeemer Renaissance Preschool

Outdoor Classes for Ages 1.5 and older with Caregiver

February 10 and 24 – 9:30 am

Come and play! This outdoor-play program for toddlers and caregivers to enjoy together promotes a sense of wonder, discovery, and exploration while providing a fun introduction to preschool. Children will build their first friendships and work with new materials as they engage in open-ended play in a safe, developmentally-appropriate environment. During exploratory play, caregivers will have the opportunity to discuss topics of interest and create bonds that will help them navigate the early childhood years and beyond.

The class is offered on the following dates: Jan. 13 & 27, Feb. 10 & 24, Mar. 10 & 24, April 7 & 21, and May 5 & 19. Register online at this link or call 703-356-3567 for more information.

Parent Volunteers for Faith Formation

Parent volunteers are needed each week in the 3rd & 4th grade, 5th & 6th grade, and Confirmation classes. We cannot hold class without two adults in the room, a parent being the second adult. Please use the links below to sign up! Thank you to those who have already volunteered.

Metro D.C. Synod Seekers Retreat for Grades 3-5

March 14 to 15

Youth in grades 3, 4, and 5 are invited to a weekend retreat. Throughout Saturday and Sunday, they will rotate through different stations to experience God through Bible study, games, arts and crafts, science, and service. This year's theme is "Growing God's Garden"

For this event, parents are required to accompany their own children as Redeemer staff or chaperones will not be attending. To register, and for more information, please go to this link.

Confirmation Retreat

March 21

Those in Confirmation are invited to attend a day retreat on March 21. The programming is from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at Mar-Lu-Ridge Camp and Retreat Center in Jefferson, Maryland. This retreat includes lunch, team-building/outdoor activities (low-ropes course, hiking, and/or archery), and confirmation programming.

Transportation will be provided. Chaperones will be needed!

The cost is $25 per youth. For questions or to sign up, please contact Grace Howie at grace@redeemermclean.org by March 1.

Faith Formation

Faith Formation classes are available for Pre-K (ages 3+) through 6th graders. Our youngest members will sing, read Bible stories, play games, and have open discussions with their peers as they build a strong foundation and understanding of the Christian faith.

Confirmation

7th and 8th graders are invited to join confirmation class, focusing on both biblical education and exploration of Lutheran doctrine and theology.
