The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Hyde Park, Cincinnati, is looking for a full time

Similar to last year, we will continue the BANQUET IN THE SUMMER with a service every Sunday. Join us for a planning meeting for a NEW & revised HOLIDAY SALE on Sunday, July 12, 9 am in the parlor. A long tradition at Redeemer and a fundraiser for El Hogar in Honduras, this sale has taken place on a Saturday in November. Plans are underway for a new format, to have the Holiday Sale on a Sunday morning/afternoon during Advent, with primarily Redeemer ministries and outside fair trade vendors involved. Our hope is to involve as many groups from the church as possible in this newly-visioned event.

Each month, we designate a
WAGON ITEM OF THE MONTH
.
In June, we are collecting juice boxes to be distributed during our Interfaith Hosting Network (IHN) hosting weeks.
TOYS & GAMES NEEDED FOR REDEEMER'S IHN MINISTRY: Approximately six weeks a year, Redeemer hosts homeless families in the lower level of the building. This ministry is currently in need of new or gently used toddler-friendly toys for the play area, especially dolls, cars, trucks, Little People sets, Megablocks, coloring books, and games without a lot of small pieces. Any new or used children's movies on DVD are also appreciated. Please place donations (along with juice boxes, the current "wagon item of the month"), in wagons in the Great Hall and lobby.
If you see God in a box of Tide or in folding linens, IHN could use your help! After each hosting we have LOADS OF LAUNDRY to do and would like to add more volunteers to the team. Each volunteer is paired with a few others to do laundry only 2-3 times per year (we have 6 hostings per year). The laundry can be done over a couple of weeks. If you are interested in helping with laundry or have any questions, please contact Pattie Kovach or Hollis Bass.
The Interfaith Housing Network (IHN) DAY CENTER IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS to help clean and maintain the building. This is a perfect mission opportunity for a retiree who has time to share once a week, or every other week. The building is located at 990 Nassau St., Cincinnati, OH. Questions? Contact Bob McGonagle at bob@redeemer-cincy.org.
THE MADISONVILLE EDUCATION AND ASSISTANCE CENTER'S (MEAC) 10TH ANNUAL BANQUET & AUCTION fundraiser will take place on Saturday, September 12, at 6:00 pm at the Sharonville Convention Center. Funds raised at the event will be used to fulfill our mission of offering help and hope to our neighbors in crisis by meeting their basic needs and providing education that enables them to navigate their way out of poverty. Please consider supporting the event by donating an item that can be used in the auction. Deadline is August 1. You may contact Jessica Wabler at jessica.wabler@fuse.net or 513-271-5501 ext.12 if you have any questions.
