Use Your Voice to Show Redevelopment Works
We are currently looking for representatives from cities across Florida to serve as op-ed authors for the Redevelopment Works campaign.

You can help protect CRAs during the 2019 legislative session by authoring an op-ed on the importance of redevelopment. FRA will do the leg work by providing the first draft of the op-ed for authors to review. We will then coordinate with authors to finalize the content and submit the piece.
To sign up to be an op-ed author, visit our Redevelopment Works web page and click the "SIGN UP" button at the top.

FRA Awards Spotlight: City of Ocala CRA

The City of Ocala CRA won the  2018 Outstanding Rehabilitation, Renovation or Reuse Award   for Ivy's on the Square/Ritter Building!

The Ritter Building is located in the center of historic downtown Ocala at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Fort King Street. The building was built in 1894, and has been used for a wide variety of business throughout its 125-year history. In recent years, the desirability of its uses has waned and eventually became a vacant eyesore on this key intersection in downtown. There was a great need for additional dining options within the downtown, so the property owner began renovations in early 2016 with the intent of attracting a quality restaurant tenant. The CRA identified this block as a key redevelopment area in downtown, and a restaurant was the type of establishment that would activate the block.

Congratulations, City of Ocala CRA, and keep up the good work!
