Our local, Taylor County Sheriff's Office Deputy, Troy Anderson, was shot three times while on a traffic stop on the night of February 22nd. Deputy Anderson was flown to Shand’s Hospital and was treated for gunshot wounds to the neck, hand and jaw.

The suspect who fired on Deputy Anderson, fled the scene but was later shot and killed that night after breaking into a Dixie County residence and exchanging gunfire with a homeowner. The homeowner suffered a wound to his shoulder but it expect to recover soon.

We are asking for prayers for Deputy Anderson & his family while he is on his road to recovery.

On WEDNESDAY, March 9th, Roy's Restaurant is donating 50% of all Fried Shrimp dinners to Deputy Anderson and family. With help from volunteers and the Sheriff's office they will also have a silent auction at the restaurant. All proceeds will go to the Anderson family.

Capt. Leslie Hernandez caught a sheepshead on the flats while fishing for trout and redfish.

Hank Hall came back with a MASSIVE trout. It just barely weighed a little short for the win at the Fiddler Crab Festival Fishing Tournament.

Melody Thomas came back with a decent redfish.

Cameron Adams and Nick Mcleod weighed-in a couple nice fish at the Fiddler Crab Festival Fishing Tournament.

Dave Watson came back to the docks with a nice flounder.

Whitney Stemple, our lovely bartender, has to make due while her tiki bar is under construction. Don't worry, she's still got plenty of ice cold beer ready on the tournament days!

During the Fiddler Crab Festival Fishing Tournament, Wayne Thomas landed this whopping flounder which won him first place at 1.2lbs.
