Our local Dixie County Baseball Team has advanced to FHSAA Class 1A Regional Finals! They will be playing their next game THIS FRIDAY! We are proud of them! GO BEARS!

Capt. Max Leatherwood said it was a "Flounder Pounder" day with Charles Coleman and Mike Hunter from Dallas, GA. They are with the Century Fire Protection crew from Atlanta and absolutely slayed the flounder during their trip.

Holly & Harper Rust fished the Optimist Club Fishing Tournament over the weekend. They were so excited to catch a big redfish but realized it was too long to keep so they released the fish to live another day.

Chaeli Harden & Danielle Norwood helped coach the Steinhatchee Stingrays in teeball this year! Their season came to an end this past Saturday. They have learned so much, Coach Chaeli says she can't wait till next year!

Get Ready!! The Doug Johnson Reeling For Kids Fishing Tournament is set for June 10th & 11th! This tournament is a two-day fishing tournament that raises money for the local Boys & Girls Clubs of Florida. 

It always an awesome event and brings lots of fun for the whole town.

Koi oh Koi!!!

Corey Hamilton caught a 36lb koi fish in the Steinhatchee river yesterday afternoon! These koi fish were ones that had escaped from Fiddlers Restaurant back in 2016 when Hurricane Hermine hit Steinhatchee.

Fiddlers says if you catch one of the koi fish in the river and bring it back to them live, your dinner is on the house!
