Join Workforce Planning Hamilton and the Canadian Education and Research Institute for Counselling (CERIC) to view the documentary film, Redirection: Work and Later Life Career Development and find out how you can use the film's companion guide to help your clients.
Funded by CERIC and led by Dr. Suzanne L. Cook from York University, the study examines career shifts, transition and occupational change in later life. The film shares the stories of five people, over 50, who successfully changed their occupations.
After viewing the film we'll go over the companion guide to find out how you can use both the film and the guide with your clients.

Hamilton CMA's unemployment rate declined to 4.2 % in September. This is the lowest since April 2005.
Health care and social assistance grew by 11,600 jobs from the 3rd Q 2016.
Assisting occupations in support of heath services saw the greatest growth in employment.

A shorter version of our annual Employer One Survey will be unveiled in January 2018. We'll be asking our partners to share this vital survey with their employer contacts.
We'll be asking employers and HR professionals to complete the survey, which will take them less than 20 minutes.
