Food Truck Friday

Food Truck - Aug 13.png

Tomorrow, from 11am to 2pm, NOMZ Truck is coming out to the Providence Community Center with a truckload of jampacked menu items and indulgent flavors that will delight your senses. Everything on the truck is served fresh and intensely flavorful. NOMZ's creations make a strong argument for higher consideration among classic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines, combined with some most popular American grubs.

If you are curious which food trucks are coming in the future, the food truck schedule will be posted on our Facebook event page.

I-66 Construction

The westbound exit off I-66 at Nutley Street will be closed this weekend from Friday at 10 p.m. until Sunday at 6 a.m. Traffic will be directed farther west to the exit for Vienna/Fairfax/GMU Station.

I-66 westbound in the Vienna area will be reduced to a single travel lane during the overnight hours Friday and Saturday, August 13 and 14, and reduced to three travel lanes during daytime hours on Saturday. In addition, one lane on westbound I-66 in the same area will remain closed during the daytime hours Saturday, August 14.  All lanes of I-66 West will reopen on the new roadway alignment by midday Sunday.

Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) over I-66 will be reduced to one travel lane in each direction during the overnight hours Wednesday and Thursday, August 11 and 12, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

When complete, the reconstructed Route 123/I-66 Interchange will provide direct access to and from the new Express Lanes for both eastbound and westbound travelers. A new shared-use path through the interchange will connect the new I-66 corridor trail with trails in the City of Fairfax.

Drivers traveling on I-66 and I-495 should expect delays and should consider using alternate routes.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.

New Bicycle/Pedestrian Bridge for Tysons

New Bicycle/Pedestrian Bridge construction over I-495 at Tysons set to start. The lighted bridge and approach will be built with a ten-foot-wide shared-use path from Tysons One Place and Fashion Boulevard to Old Meadow Road and Provincial Drive and take about a year to complete. The bridge is in the vicinity of RT 123 and I-495 and will connect the neighborhood on the opposite side of 495 to the parking garage at Barnes & Noble in Phase I. Once funding for Phase II is secured, the shared-use path along Old Meadow Road will be completed from Provincial Drive to Route 123. For more information, go to this link.
