Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church is a congregation that
values diversity of belief. Whether you are full of faith or full of doubt
you'll find people who have been there and accept you for where you are.

We welcome all people to worship, pray, eat, seek spiritual answers and enjoy life within our community of faith. All are welcome!
This Sunday in worship!
Don't forget this week kicks off our new worship service
at a new time of 10:00 am!

All are welcome to participate in this special Rally Day Service in the Sanctuary. A picnic lunch will be provided outside under the pavilion after worship. Bring your chairs and spread the word!
Sunday's Scripture passages:
Proverbs 9:1-6
and Ephesians 5:8-20

The flowers in the Sanctuary are given to the Glory of God in loving memory of Mary Lou and Vernon Edgell
by Gloria and Ed Stanford.

All children and teachers are invited to participate in a blessing of the backpacks during worship on Rally Day Sunday, August 15th. Parents – Please contact Nate and David to let us know to expect your child.
Communications Update
It’s been an exciting time in the life of the church this past summer! From welcoming David and his family to the success of our recent August Splash Down, we’ve had a lot to celebrate. Our special Rally Day service and picnic promises to be another opportunity to come together and celebrate communally as we move forward in our Worship as one united church family.

Since Rally Day marks the beginning of our new way of Worship, it makes sense that it, too, marks the beginning of our new online presence. Although we will have the same web address as before, our new church website will have a new look and layout, one that will better engage and inform those searching for a new spiritual home.

As we reincorporate more activities, groups, and missions back into church life, more information will be added to the website, so be sure to check it often! And, if you have any questions or comments about the new website, feel free to contact me at

Covid Update: The Session received and approved an update to the congregation's Covid protocols in light of the recent change in guidelines from the CDC regarding masking. At this time all individuals are to wear masks when inside church property. Means of social distancing are encouraged but are not currently required. Thank you for continuing to live out Christ's call to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Sunday Schools return on August 22 after worship. Classes will be available for children, youth, and adults. Interested in volunteering with a class? Contact David and Nate to sign up!
The Remnant Sunday School Class will resume meeting on Sunday morning, August 22, and we need YOU. The class meets upstairs in the Multi Building in Room 221 at 11:00, and is open to absolutely anybody who wants to join!  Come every Sunday, or come when you can.  You are always welcome. The class will have the opportunity to reflect on and discuss the sermon topic from Worship or other related Scripture, and it promises to be a great opportunity for us to connect with each other in prayer and discussion. Just pop in and be a part of the conversation as we strive to grow in following Christ and in fellowship with each other.  No experience necessary! Curious? Contact Rosemary Sexton through the church office.
Nursery Worker Needed: We are looking for a mature, part-time worker for our church nursery. As a Sunday morning and potentially Wednesday evening worker, you will be caring for children from infant to 4 years old. To apply go to, or contact Nate Varnier.
