As the weather cools and the rainy season begins, Marina Coast Water District reminds customers to reduce their outdoor water use. Your landscape irrigation should be adjusted seasonally to save water and prevent overwatering, which can lead to root rot and other plant diseases. As we head into fall, please remember to:
🍁 Turn off automatic irrigation and water only when needed.
🍁 Use a broom to sweep driveways instead of hosing them down.
🍁 Check for leaks and and fix them, especially in irrigation systems.
🍁 Integrate hardscape into your landscaping like rocks or gravel.
