Greetings!
Learn how easily you can transform your kitchen scraps and backyard cuttings into rich compost for your plants and gardens! Teach your child to compost. Composting is an awesome science experiment.
Food scraps and yard waste together currently make up more than 30 percent of what we throw away, and could be composted instead. Making compost keeps these materials out of landfills where they take up space and release methane, a potent greenhouse gas.
Join us for composting education on Saturday, September 18th or October 23rd at 9:30 am. Check in starts at 9:00 am. Register and pay the $10 class fee via PayPal.
Backyard Composting Bins ($95) and Vermicomposting Kits (from $80 to $150) will be available for purchase on seminar day (exact change is appreciated).
