Useful information on reduced fees

and promotion for re-joining members

Dear Skålleagues,

We remind you about the following promotions agreed by the Executive Committee, which will surely help to promote the membership of Skål International.

Re-joining members promotion

For third consecutive year, we keep the supporting measure directed to former members who left the organisation during 2020, 2021 or 2022.

1. Their administration fee will be waived. The General Secretariat will only invoice the full annual membership fee.
2. Their seniority of membership will be respected (seniority is lost in normal circumstances if a member leaves and rejoins in a year other than the year of leaving).

To request reinstatements, please contact membership@skal.org providing the name and current email of the former member concerned.

Important: this promotion is not applied if new membership application form is submitted.

Reduced Membership Fees for New Members

We have pleasure in announcing that the year-end promotion that usually starts in November, will start again this year in September.

From 1 July to 31 August - 50% of membership fees apply

• Active: EUR 25 (Admin fee) + EUR 27 (Membership fee).
• Young Skål Professional: EUR 25 (Admin fee) + EUR 17.50 (Membership fee).
• Skål Student: EUR 5 (Admin fee) + EUR 7.50 (Membership fee).

From 1 September, 4 FREE months for NEW members

Full membership from 1 September 2023 through to end December 2024.

Only the administration fee will be charged at the time of joining. The annual fee will be invoiced in January 2024 and is not reimbursable if the member leaves the organisation during that year.

• Active: EUR 25 (Administration fee).
• Young Skål Professional: EUR 25 (Administration fee).
• Skål Student: EUR 5 (Administration fee).



Please note that this only refers to the international portion of the fees and we ask National Committees and local Clubs to look at their own budgets. Some Clubs have already implemented specific measures to face the need to increase their membership.

Membership applications pending approval

• Make sure your Club does not miss out on growth opportunities.
• Check if you have any pending membership applications that you have held back for approval in this new promotion period.
• The system sends automatic reminders to the Club President and Secretary, but they can also log into the Skål Officers Dashboard and record pending approvals.
• New member approvals process.
