  • Gifts! New, like new and collectible items for every person on your shopping list.
  • Puzzles! A large selection of holiday-themed puzzles for the puzzle lovers in your life.
  • Countdown Bundles! New this year: Christmas Countdown book bundles for children. Each bundle includes 24 books, a book to gift each day leading up to Christmas. The bundles are labelled by age range and priced very low.
  • Surprise Books! For adults, we have gift wrapped books with a message hinting to the contents.
  • Honey! Library honey makes the perfect fun and unique gift for anyone on your shopping list. The bees live on the roof of the Downtown Library and produce delicious honey. Honey is available at the Bookstore at the Downtown Library or purchase honey online with pickup at the Bookstore.

COATS FOR KIDS

Recology San Mateo County has launched its annual Coats for Kids Program from November 10th to 21st to collect new and gently used coats for those in need during the cold weather season. Residents in the Recology San Mateo County service area are asked to place coats in a clear plastic bag marked “Coats for Kids” and to then place the bag next to or on the top of their blue recycle cart on their regular collection day, during the week of November 10 to 14.

Collection containers labeled “Coats for Kids” are at the Downtown Library and will also be placed at various locations throughout participating cities listed here from November 10 through 21.
