What's New?
All Community Centers will be closed on Monday, January 17
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, City Hall, Recreation Centers, and Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 17. Normal business operations will resume on Tuesday, January 18.

Day of Service
MLK Day is observed as a national day of service; "a day on, not a day off." While COVID-19 may make it difficult to participate in ways we normally would, there are still opportunities available for those who would like to volunteer in person. AmeriCorps has a searchable database of MLK Day volunteer opportunities in our area. It's easy, just click here, enter your zip code, and serve your community!
Dolphin Park Community Feedback & Presentation is Now Online

Thank you to everyone who logged in last night for our community meeting. Based on the results of the 133 community survey responses and from the in-person open house meeting at the park on October 23, 2021, the design consultants provided preliminary concept plans for feedback. You can view the recorded meeting or click on the button below to visit our website and view the bullet point summary. We will continue to update the project on our website as things progress.

Find shade while the sky is pouring hearts
Curated by Lance M. Fung
Through January 30, 2022
2208 Broadway, Redwood City

Martinique-based artist, David Gumbs brings his new innovative Augmented Reality work inspired by the flamboyant flower that has marked his childhood. The Royal Poinciana, also called "flame of the forest," has always been part of the Caribbean landscape and heritage with its vibrant red and yellow bloom from June to
September. The piece embodies vibrant colors and surreal aesthetics aimed to bring comfort and joy to visitors while emphasizing social complexities of postcolonial islands and blackness.
