AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is an elective course throughout high school that provides students with the skills and tools they need to be successful in advancing academically with the ultimate goal of attending college. Students in AVID, who will often be the first in their families to attend college, are taught study skills, writing and research skills, time management and note taking techniques, while being immersed in a college going culture.

This past fall, the Foundation approved a grant for AVID which provides funding for class supplies, graduation stoles and a class trip this Spring to visit San Jose State and possibly Santa Clara University (COVID restrictions permitting). Thanks to the generosity of our community, the Foundation is thrilled to support the success of these students in this important program!
The Redwood High School Foundation offers scholarships to eligible Redwood students each year; we are happy to announce that this year's scholarship application is now open and will be due on March 11, 2022.

The RHSF Scholarship Committee recognizes and awards students who are continuing their education after graduation from Redwood High School. All scholarships are used for tuition or school expenses at an accredited community college, trade school, four-year college or university.

To learn more about the available scholarships, and to request an application, visit https://www.tamdistrict.org/domain/1434
Our spring allocation process begins next month! If you have not yet made your annual contribution to the Foundation, show Redwood some LOVE and donate today so we can say YES to more grants!
