The Foundation was thrilled to provide funding for the first annual Roots Down event held last Wednesday! This special evening of reflection brought together ALL seniors and their parents/guardians to celebrate the journey they have taken together through the high school years. We are grateful to our dedicated group of volunteers who worked tirelessly to organize this event and establish it as a new tradition for our future graduates! 

Congratulations to all our Redwood graduates on their outstanding achievement and best wishes for what lies ahead! Go GIANTS!

Announcing the 2023

NORTH STAR TEACHER AWARD

On June 1st, the Foundation, along with student representatives, presented Redwood English and Academic Workshop teacher, Kathryn Ghiraldini, with the Foundation’s Second Annual North Star Award!

The North Star Award committee is comprised of students, parents and administrators who evaluate teacher nominees based on the following criteria:



1. Fosters a supportive, respectful, and safe environment for all students and goes out of their way to support students both in and outside the classroom.

2. Recognizes and honors students' individual needs and learning styles

3. Adapts lesson plans to stay culturally relevant and reflect current issues
