The Foundation recently approved multiple grants within Redwood’s Visual Arts Program including: new digital scanners for professional grade artwork scanning, new and upgraded photography equipment, advanced and diverse ceramics materials, sustainable paints, guest artists to run master classes and clinics and new MacBook Pro laptops to allow contemporary digital art and new media to be incorporated into the curriculum for the first time.
A grant was also approved to support a Spring Celebration of the Arts Exhibit which will provide visibility for visual and performing arts students, encouraging lively interaction among the student body and the larger community.
“We would not have this incredible program without the Foundation. I literally can’t believe how lucky I am to be here — and how lucky these students are.”
