Renovation to RRHC Medical & Dental

Are Complete!

Medical and Dental renovations have been completed. It’s been an on-going project since April 2022 and we appreciate all of our patients and RRHC’s team’s flexibility to adapt to the project during the last 9 months.


We are tentatively scheduling an Open House on February 28th and are excited to show case our bight and newly remodeled facilities.

Meet Paul Honsvick, RN

Chronic Care Manager

Meet Paul Honsvick our new RN here at Redwoods Rural Health Center. Paul attended Dixie State University in St. George, Utah and earned his bachelor’s degree in Nursing.


He excited to serve the Medicare patients in Southern Humboldt as the new Chronic Care Manager. The Chronic Care Management (CCM) program entails monthly check-in calls to discuss client's health and wellbeing, as well as development of a plan to improve their health status.


Paul looks forward to helping each person with their individual health plan as your Chronic Care Manager and to help you in managing your care.

AT NO COST TO YOU!


Did you know that Medicare now covers two types of office visits - one when you are new to Medicare and one each year after that?


These wellness visits help your medical team develop a personalized prevention plans for those who have Part B Medicare Coverage AND haven’t received their Wellness Visit within the last 12 months.


Your Comprehensive 'Welcome to Medicare' visit includes:

  • A review of your medical history
  •  Screenings
  • Review of your risk factors
  • Education and counseling tailored to your health needs
  • Test(s) and/or referrals based on your history and screening results


Your Yearly 'Wellness' Visit Coverage includes:

Your yearly Medicare “wellness” visit is not your annual physical but a regular strategy session designed to help you and your provider develop an ongoing health plan intended to keep you healthy, safe and independent for a long time.


These visits will enable you and your doctor to develop or update a prevention plan, based on your current health and risk factors. You'll pay nothing for the visit as long as your provider accepts Medicare assignment.
