July 2021
Make this a summer to remember as you reconnect with family, friends, and the open road. Let Kenosha be your getaway destination! We are located right on the Lake Michigan shore in southeast Wisconsin.
ON THE WATER
Rent a stand-up paddleboard or kayak - or take sailing lessons - at the Kenosha Community Sailing Center, which is located at the Kenosha Yacht Club. Enjoy a memorable fishing excursion on Lake Michigan with the Kenosha Charter Boat Association. Kenosha is known as the Trout and Salmon Capital of Wisconsin with the highest catch-per-hour rate in the state. Or enjoy a sailing outing with Sail Away Charters.
ON THE SHORE
Gather a group and reserve an outing with the Lakeshore Pedal Tours, an open-air, pedal-powered, memorable rolling party. Explore five entertaining museums near Lake Michigan. Climb the 1866 Southport Lighthouse tower. Take a self-guided tour of the historic Durkee Mansion. Enjoy the Sculpture Walk at HarborPark. Further from Lake Michigan, climb, swing, and zipline amongst the trees at Boundless Adventures.
MEET QUEEN ELIZABETH
Immerse yourself in a period where nobility reigns, fairies wander, and jesters perform for the masses. You will be in for a full day of entertainment when you visit Bristol Renaissance Faire. It’s open nine weekends starting July 10 and takes its framework from the summer day in 1574 when Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth visited the English city of Bristol. The Faire is family friendly with activities planned each day specifically for kids.
MEET KING ELVIS
With a mascot named King Elvis The First, a commercial fishing boat that’s part of the outfield wall, and baseball’s first outdoor regulation size permanent bowling alley, a Kenosha Kingfish baseball game at historic Simmons Field is sure to be enjoyed by the entire family. The Kingfish are members of the Northwoods League and feature elite collegiate baseball and affordable, family-friendly entertainment. Simmons Field opened in 1920.
