School Board Unanimously Approves Referendum On April 7, 2020 Ballot

The KM School Board voted Nov. 26, 2019 to allow residents to determine additional support for the district through a recurring operating referendum on the April 7, 2020 ballot.

A recurring operating referendum asks permission from voters to exceed the state-imposed revenue limit, on an on-going basis, for the purpose of funding school operations.
KM Drama Club Brings Home Awards
From State Theatre Festival

The KM Drama Club's competition one-act play "The Brown Felt Hat" was a huge winner at the State Theatre Festival this weekend. The cast and crew were honored with four awards: Outstanding Acting Award (Courtney Peterson as "Betty"); Outstanding Ensemble; Outstanding Directing; and the Critics Choice, which represents the highest standards of excellence at the State Festival!

The judges also complimented their authentic portrayal of women during WWII and the relationships presented on stage, along with dialect and special attention to time-period details. Additionally, senior Sam Gratz participated in the Tech Olympics and had one of the top times in the "connector rewire" event. In 1 minute 39 seconds, Sam stripped wires and reassembled an electrical plug needed for sound or light work.

Trailblazer Hall Of Fame

Kettle Moraine School District proudly honors the accomplishments and humanitarian efforts of former graduates through the Laser Trailblazer Hall of Fame. Nominees (living or deceased) must be a Kettle Moraine graduate of 10 years or more and made, or are making, a significant contribution to the local, state, national or international community in the fields of entertainment, athletics, the arts, community, government or military service, professional endeavors, entrepreneurial or industrial leadership, science or technology, education, research, or humanitarian efforts.

´╗┐Candidates are selected in January and honored during a special ceremony in the spring.  
So Much To Be Thankful For In KM!

Today, our KMHS students with special needs were out on a scavenger hunt, delivering "Thank You" cards to all in the community who support them....Wales Friendsgiving was happening with service projects like making blankets for foster was staff "We Not Me" photo day at Cushing...and Fine Arts Day at Magee, where friends are learning new skills from visitors playing banjos, teaching Zumba, improv, pottery and more.

We are so thankful for days like this...and the opportunity to be a part of an incredible community for over 50 years. Have a safe and joyous Thanksgiving - and stay warm/dry!
