Trends in Publishing Nursing History: Sources and Strategies to Enhance Scholarly Productivity

AAHN will be hosting its annual preconference workshop on Thursday, September 7. This year's focus will be on trends in nursing history publishing. Areas to be covered include:

1. reviewing the process of submission of an article through revisions and publication;
2. identifying strategies for new researchers to publish their dissertation research or post-doctoral research;
3. identifying journals that are receptive to publishing works on nursing history research;
4. and describing the process of shaping a nursing history article for publication in a non-history journal.

AAHN is pleased to

announce that this year's conference will take place at the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa. They are currently taking reservations, which can be arranged on their website or by calling 585-381-4000.

AAHN has negotiated the rate of $179 per night. These rates will apply three days prior and three days after the conference.

The reservation deadline to receive the negotiated rate is Wednesday, August 16, 2017. After the cut-off date, the hotel reserves the right to charge at their prevailing rates.

Each year, AAHN collects items of interest related to nursing and health care history to be auctioned off at our silent and live auctions. The money raised through these auctions supports AAHN grant program, giving financial support to researchers focusing on nursing and health care history. Have an item or two that you would like to donate? Please mail your item(s) to the address information below. Unhealthy items (moldy, bugs, etc.) will be discarded in order to protect the other auction items. When mailing your items, you may ask for media or library rate to ship boxes using the USPS.
