Let's reflect on this past quarter...

We started digging deep. If you don't know by now, our team decided to take the year of 2022 to sit down and really focus on key concepts in our world (the early care and education world). We're doing so through our YouTube channel, by delivering various installments of our limited series theme, Let's Dig Deep. With each installment, we focus on one key word, term, or concept. Then we break it down - we discuss the connection to and the impact on young children and the adults caring for them. As of today, we have released two installments, and are in the middle of our third. We encourage all of you to watch, re-watch, and share these series' with everyone in your circles.

We updated the DECA Program Readiness & Reflection Tool. Our team stands alongside those fighting to end racism and those seeking to nurture resilience in children and families made vulnerable by systemic oppression. We now have an updated version of the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA) Program Readiness & Reflection Tool. This resource is designed to support early care and education programs with best practice implementation of the DECA Program. The updated version of the tool acknowledges that promoting the resilience and overall social-emotional health of children and families can only happen when staff acknowledge and honor the heritage and culture of every child. We invite you to read through this document, and to use it to self-reflect and engage colleagues in conversations around race, equity, and resilience.

We started our Spring Cleaning. We wanted to do some Spring Cleaning (or at least start some!), and we actually asked for your help. In case you missed our help request, we are asking again. We want to make sure the information we have for you is up to date, while also ensuring we are honoring your email subscription needs! Then head through the updating process to check on your information and your subscriptions, and that's it!
