Principal's Letter
"The students of Holy Cross are benefiting from the foresight and generosity of every donor who has contributed in faith that the students who receive these resources will be successful. After ten years these graduates are now equipping themselves with the skills and knowledge that will bring them into the full working force of this community as computer technicians, teachers, hotel, restaurant and office managers. Graduating at the top of their class with honors and having high self-esteem and self-worth and contributing positively to this community. The Foundation has made a marked difference in the lives of many where literally nothing existed for them. "

Reflecting on 10 years at Holy Cross

Our first trip to Holy Cross School was in April 2007. At that time, five tiny classrooms housed approximately 130 students (up from 64 the previous fall) and Ms. Rosalia was carting lunch to the children in a wheelbarrow from the hammock house across the street.

Moved to do more
Holden visited Holy Cross a few months ago on a personal mission trip, bringing with him the funds to help a student for a year. But after visiting he wanted to do more.

"What they’re doing for these kids and what they’re doing for the high schoolers is just wonderful,” he said. “They took us around, into classrooms and to meet the kids and all of the people were super, super sweet. They were doing everything for the right reasons and we kind of fell in love with the place.”

Read More about how Holden used his talents very creatively to use his passion and skills to help Holy Cross.
Your gift to Holy Cross School is extremely important because it offers immediate resources that are directed to current needs and opportunities at the school.  The school is an anchor, a safe haven for the children of San Mateo. For Holy Cross to continue the work of feeding and educating these children your help is both needed and appreciated.
