The Critical Addiction Treatment Program (CATS) within the Salt Lake County Jails
- For the past 2 months, we have worked with the CATS Program 3 times per week. Both men's and women's programs participate.
- Inmates have the choice whether they want to join in on the FTR workout and discussion. So far, we have seen at least 85% participation
- 15 men and women have graduated from the CATS program since FTR began working with them. Of those 15, 9 have come to receive scholarships for the first month membership to FTR. We are grateful to be a tool to support their recovery.

Welcome to Our New FTR Family Staff Members

Cassidy Moore
is our new lead dietitian and will replace Tessa Acker. She is a registered dietitian with her Master's in Nutrition from the University of Utah. She will collaborate with our assistant dietitian, Chrissy Andrus.
Cassidy grew up in Pennsylvania, and made her way to Utah for her love of the mountains and outdoors. Her passion in both nutrition and sports led her to her master's program at the University of Utah, where she had the opportunity to intern with the US Speed Skating team, among others. She has worked as a nutrition educator with the Salvation Army and volunteers as a director of a kids running program in Salt Lake. She has personal connections to addiction and the recovery community. She has warm, caring energy and is thrilled to join FTR and work with our community in the kitchen!

Rachel Santizo is our Client Relations Manager and
has been with FTR from the beginning.
Rachel has been sober for nearly 7 years and has a deep passion to help those in recovery. She previously worked at Odyssey House, served on the Board at Fourth Street Clinic, and is the founder of The Community Service Pillar at FTR. She also currently serves on the committee for Project Homeless Connect. Rachel is well connected within the recovery community and will be instrumental in continuing FTR's partnerships, including within the Jails. Rachel is a loving mother of 2 and a friend to everyone she meets.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Our Christmas Outreach helped provide presents and Christmas cheer to 9 families and 17 kids, half of which were in our recovery community and half were for families with incarcerated parents. It was a beautiful day of service, when many people need it most.
Our January community outreach will be hosting a Game Day at a local Rest Home. More info
