Canadian Orthopaedic Association

Reflecting on 2022 and Moving Forward in 2023 – A Message from Your CEO

Dear COA Member,

Thank you for supporting the Canadian Orthopaedic Association (COA) throughout the past year. As we ramp up for 2023 Membership Renewals, let’s take a moment to look back at some of the highlights from 2022 outlined in the COA’s Annual Report.

I am proud to share our collective successes on behalf of the COA and our affiliated subspecialty societies. Together, we make a strong Association that can and does influence change across the country. We would not have been able to accomplish what we have this past year without the dedication and support from our members, sponsors and various partners we’ve been privileged to work with.

The coming year is one of further development and progress, with the launch of new programs, educational and leadership opportunities, as well as a strong focus on government relations and public awareness campaigns to further enhance our mission and strategic initiatives.

We are also thrilled to launch our new logo, website and branding, which is rooted in orthopaedic history but also has a solid foundation in the present, and will lead us into our next chapter and beyond. We believe this refresh better reflects what the COA means not only to its members and the orthopaedic community but also to how we’re represented to partners and decision-makers within Canada and around the world.

Your membership is essential to all of our efforts, and we hope for your continued engagement and commitment in 2023.

Membership renewals will be issued next month; the COA has frozen its membership dues again this year and will not be increasing membership fees.

Look out for an email in the coming weeks with step-by-step instructions on how to renew your COA and affiliate subspecialty society memberships.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thank you, and be well.

Warm regards,

Cynthia Vezina
