Hello, Master Trainers and Class Leaders!
I hope this email finds you well as we enter the second month of 2025. We want to take a moment to reflect on the remarkable growth and achievements throughout 2024. Last year, we welcomed approximately 300 new Class Leaders and 15 new Master Trainers, conducted over 500 class series across the globe, revised and began the publication process for a new workbook, and updated our materials, which will be available later this year.
As we move forward, we want to remind you of a few important changes and provide some updates:
-
Fee Adjustments: Beginning July 1, 2025, updates to Class Leader and Master Trainer licensing fees will take effect. More details can be found in our November 2024 newsletter.
-
The Caregiver Helpbook: We will continue offering eBook licenses until the next edition is available later this year. Many have asked about physical book copies: rest assured that as soon as the new book is finalized, hard copies will be available for purchase. When I have additional information that is able to be shared out (including a timeline), I promise to share it out as soon as I'm able.
-
Class Format Reminders: Please ensure you maintain program fidelity when planning and conducting classes. We must maintain consistency as an evidence-based program. Here are a few examples. There are no exceptions to the below:
- Only licensed Class Leaders/Master Trainers should have access to the script and materials. If you have interns or temporary staff in your organization, they must complete Class Leader Training if they are to step in as facilitators.
- Classes should take place over six consecutive weeks. If there is a national holiday on the day you scheduled classes, classes may be skipped the week of the holiday. Aside from national holidays or last-minute emergencies (i.e. unplanned/unscheduled), classes should be held on the same day of the week over six weeks.
-
All class series and Class Leader Trainings must be reported to PTC Headquarters. We recommend you report the classes as soon as you schedule them to ensure all listed facilitators are still considered active. Master Trainers, you must report your planned Class Leader Training at least 3 weeks in advance. Links for the forms can be found in the Materials and Resources section below.
- The class series should be delivered in-person or virtually. We do not support a hybrid delivery format at this time.
As always, you're welcome to email me with any questions or concerns (ptcaregivers@iastate.edu) and I'm happy to help in any way I'm able.
Thank you for being an integral part of the PTC community. We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and supporting caregivers together!
With endless gratitude and respect,
Katie Anthony, Ph.D.
