Reflections on the 2024 Election: What We Believe

By James Higa, Executive Director of PVF

There has been so much to process. The 2024 Election is behind us and uncertainty and anxiety ahead. It feels like overload. So let’s take a moment to reflect on what we believe.

We believe the need is greater than ever to lift us all into a future that is equal, inclusive, and just.

We believe we can make a difference in the world and the work ahead of us will require empathetic hearts, open minds, and innovative hands.

We believe it is more beautiful to unite and create than it is to divide and destroy. We will continue to venture towards ideas and solutions that bring us together and make us more human.

We believe that it is through people and communities that our lives can be transformed. We will continue to ‘find ’em and fund ’em’ in the conviction that you will be that light in the world.

We believe in embracing radical collaboration. We believe that together with each of you, we will find the conviction of courage to move forward. And we shall be right there along side you on this journey as we have always been and will be.

Onward,

James Higa
