Reflections with Fr. Mark
Dear Parishioners,

“In Christ…we were chosen,” our scriptures remind us.  Through the Holy Spirit we are sealed in the Sacrament of Confirmation. If we follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit in our lives and tune our spiritual ear to hear the voice of God speaking to us, we will find ourselves less interested in worldly cares and more focused on the spiritual realm.  Again, as I shared earlier, I think this is where a bit of the Martha and Mary syndrome dwells within each one of us at different times in our journey.

Next week, our young people will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  I have received delegation from the Archbishop to confer this wonderful sacrament on the candidates for St. Luke the Evangelist Parish. It will be an honor to bestow the joy of the Spirit through the laying of hands and the anointing with chrism.  Please pray for our candidates this week as they continue their journey in faith.

The journey continues…as we pray, “Come, Holy Spirit!”

Blessings,

Fr. Mark

Holy Water Distribution on Feast of St. Luke - this Sunday
In honor and in observation of the Feast of St. Luke the Evangelist, our patron, we will distribute blessed bottles of Holy Water to each household (one per car) that drives through the Communion Reception Line (while supplies last).

While we all await our return to communal celebration and live
Eucharistic celebration, let us continue to pray for one another and lift
each other up in spirit. We pray that this Holy Water will help bring
healing, peace and new life to all those who use it in their homes.
