Our scriptures today reveal the jealousy of brothers and the consequences of that jealously. We see this far too often in families and in other relationships that are destroyed by the jealousy of one or more persons. As a priest, we hear the results of decades long family feuds, marital mistrust and broken relationships. The journey is difficult!
Jesus encounters those who are seeking signs. The people miss the fact that HE is the sign. Too often, as human beings, we do not like the mess of relationships; rather, we would like things to be convenient and easy. “Just show us a sign...” but, God is asking us for a relationship. Where is your relationship with God or are you still waiting for a sign?
