Reflections with Fr. Mark
Dear Parishioners,

Today’s Saint is Monica.  This poor woman was married to the unfaithful and unbelieving Patricius.  Her son, Augustine, was a handful and she would spend years trying to bring him around.  Prayer would be the only answer for this problem.  Monica was persistent and strong and continues to inspire especially those who are praying for wayward spouses, children or family members. Finally, her prayers brought about the baptism of Augustine at the age of 28 and the rest is history.

Do you think about the end times?  Are you prepared for the Lord to come?  Is your home and soul ready for his promised return?  These questions should not strike fear in us, right? We journey and prepare for the promised return so that the Lord may come as a welcome guest. We await joyfully, as Catholic Christians for the coming of the Lord and are prepared to give welcome because we have persevered in prayer.

May our prayer today be for those who have lost hope and faith in this time of pandemic.

Blessings,

Fr. Mark
