Reflections with Fr. Mark
Dear Parishioners,

God is goodness and love.  God is wisdom and patience.  God is merciful and understanding.  God is truth and transcendence.  There are many words that we use to describe the qualities assigned to God.  What God is NOT is hate and evil, and God despises any effort to permeate his goodness with things that reflect these negative qualities.  Herein lays the struggle for us.

By virtue of our baptism we are marked with the sign of grace and baptized into His Body.  We receive the indelible mark of His presence and love through the holy anointings.  However, our gift of free choice will always allow us to choose against our holy calling.  We are invited to submit our will to His.  To die to self and rise again.  To sacrifice for the sake of others.  To put Him before all else.  How are we doing?

Lord, through this time of pandemic desert renew our hearts and spirits, opening our minds to your wisdom.  Help us to embrace this time as a gift to come to know you more deeply and to love you more completely.  Allow me to surrender to this time and through your presence make it a time of peace.

Be assured of our prayers for you each day as we continue our journey together and apart.

Blessings,
