Reflections with Fr. Mark
Dear Parishioners,

Today, we celebrate the Memorial of St. Barnabas, Apostle.  He was an influential early Christian who traveled with St. Paul, and later with John Mark, spreading the Gospel throughout Asia Minor.  He was so influential that St. Luke gave him the title of Apostle. 

The early Church was a wonderful example of many coming to the faith without much by way of instruction or “catechesis.”  Rather, before any formal structures were in place for the teaching of the faith there were examples, like St. Barnabas, who “rejoiced and encouraged them all” because he relied on the grace of God and the firmness of heart of the receiver of God’s grace.  

There are times when the church loses because of its rigidity to programs or methodologies.  Rather, like St. Barnabas, we should rely on the grace of God!

Mass Schedule

Reservations are required to attend Mass.

Weekday Mass:  Reservations for weekday 9:00 am Mass can be made online or by calling the Pastoral Office at (626) 291-5900. Reservation links are posted a week at a time.

Sunday Mass:   Sunday Mass will resume on June 14 with 8:30 and 10:30 am Mass. Reservations for the Masses MUST be made before 3:00 pm on Friday each week by calling the Pastoral Office at (626) 291-5900 (We are not taking online reservations at this time.). No admittance to the church without a reservation. 

Attendance Reminders: Face coverings or masks are required during Mass. Church doors will open 30 minutes before Mass. Please plan to arrive early and line up safely while awaiting to be seated. Attendees MUST arrive before the doors are closed and locked at the beginning of mass out of respect for your fellow parishioners. Late arrivals will not be admitted.

People who are 65 or older, have a weakened immune system, or have a chronic medical condition are encouraged to stay home. If you are sick, you MUST remain at home. Virtual Mass options and a Communion Reception Line are offered (see below). Dispensation by the Archbishop for Sunday attendance has been extended indefinitely.

 
‘Drive-thru’ Communion Reception Line

For those wishing to continue to view the mass at home, we will have a “Drive-thru” Communion Reception Line at Noon on Sundays for the foreseeable future beginning Sunday, June 14.

We will only be out in the parking lot for this option for 20 minutes. Please arrive on time and begin a car line going south on Cloverly Avenue and into the Church parking lot. We will direct you from there. Please DO NOT park or get out of your car.

Please wear your face covering as we approach the car. We will distribute communion into your hand and then you may remove your mask and receive the Eucharist. Please drive off safely. God Bless.
