Today, we celebrate the Annunciation of the Lord and the beautiful YES that Mary said after being greeted by the angel. We can all imagine that unsettling conversation and holy encounter in the young life of the Jewish girl who would be called Blessed. We may experience her fear, confusion and, ultimate assent to God’s will. We are invited on the same journey.
