Dear Parishioners,
God’s people are called to have humble minds, humble hearts and humble lives. We have humility before God and in our relationships with others. Really? I have trouble with that!
Most people I encounter, including the man in the mirror, are prideful, judgmental and somewhat self-absorbed people. Oh, yes, we have our moments of humble service, giving, understanding and love. But, let’s be honest and real: humility in all things is itself a Cross. To put ALL others, including God, before ALL else IS DIFFICULT.
Lord, make me humble in one thing today that I may reflect the gift of your love to me.
