When we have envy or jealousy in our hearts, we often are witnessed denying the goodness of others or their gracious actions. It was the same with those who disliked Jesus or did not accept him or his teachings. They would deny that his works were miraculous or worthy of merit and at times just called them straight out blasphemous. Are we threatened by Jesus and his Presence? I think sometimes we act as though we are.
In our journey of faith, we are called to recognize the action of the Good Shepherd in our daily lives and proclaim his praise in all that we do. Yes, we will stumble and fall, but he hoists us on his shoulders and carries us to green pastures.
Let us rejoice and be glad in the Lord who saves us.
Be assured of our prayers for you each day as we continue our journey together and apart.
