Reflections with Fr. Mark
Dear Parishioners,

My friends, today we celebrate a wonderful woman on this Feast of Mary Magdalene, Apostle of the Apostles.  She was yet another bearer of Good News as she was the first to proclaim the Resurrection of Jesus.

Mary Magdalene was a disciple of Jesus and learned from her “Rabbi” who planted the seed of God’s word firmly in her heart.  His Word was planted so firmly and nourished so deeply that she was one of few who stood at the foot of the Cross when others ran in fear to hide.

Pope Francis recognized Mary Magdalene’s great example to us, the Church, that he elevated this day from a “Memorial” to a Feast Day, giving her the title of Apostle of the Apostles.

Let us celebrate the great sign of love found in the dedicated women of our Church who sit at feet of Jesus.

Be assured of our prayers for you each day as we continue our journey together and apart.

Blessings,

Fr. Mark
