Dear Parishioners,
Jesus summoned the Twelve and gave the authority to cure sickness and disease of every kind. Jesus always wishes to accomplish healing and wholeness in the broken lives of his children and cure the illness of every kind. These days of pandemic cause great difficulty in bringing the healing sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick to those who are in hospitals or other healthcare facilities.
In these past months, as priests, we have not been allowed to enter these facilities to bring Christ’s presence to our suffering community members. Sadly, the family members have not been allowed in to visit sick spouses, children or friends as well. This is just another way where we, as a Church, have had to adapt to new ways of practicing our faith and leaving things in God’s hands.
May each of us pray for healing within our own lives and journey; but, more importantly, pray for those who cannot feel the physical presence of loved ones and that God’s presence may be felt by them through our intercessory prayers.
Be assured of our prayers for you each day as we continue our journey together and apart.
Blessings,
Fr. Mark
