Reflections with Fr. Mark
Dear Parishioners,

In Jesus, we find the One who has mastered all that troubles the human spirit.  He is the Healer of the soul.  He is the life blood that flows through the Body of Christ.  Dying to self (and our part) of the Body allows us to see the function of the whole and each part.  However, we remain divided because we are selfish or self-centered in our approach to our journey.  We want to direct the way and chose the path, and the result is a divided spirit, a divided body.

Division among those who believe has existed in human society in time immemorial. Those called to be the sign of unity are often witnessed being the cause of division.  The Church is brought about by the power of Christ and is invited into unity and oneness by the One who is the source of all unity.

The Spirit of God bestowed upon the world in the spark of creation and the inception of life is the soul that calls out to us in our inner self to attune to the voice of God.

Our Scripture today says, “At sunset, all who had people sick with various diseases brought them to him.  He laid his hands on each of them and cured them.”

What cure do you need today?  Let’s pray at today’s sunset for this healing to take place.

The journey continues…

Blessings,

Fr. Mark
