Reflections with Fr. Mark
Dear Parishioners,

Today we celebrate a very holy man, Pius of Pietrelcina.  Don’t recognize the name?  Perhaps you know of him as Padre Pio.  Padre Pio is said to have lived with the stigmata (the wounds of Christ) for over fifty years.  He bore the wounds of Christ with great humility but was most famous for his reading of the heart of the person before him.

It was special to have your confession heard by Padre Pio.  He would simply say to those who came to him, “Pray, hope and don’t worry.”

In his simple words to pray, hope and not to worry we can regain strength to do the mission of God in spreading the Good News with our own lives just as the apostles were called to their ministry.

Today, proclaim the Kingdom of God with a smile.

The journey continues.

Blessings,

Fr. Mark
