A Leap of Faith: From Pharmacist to Pharmacy Manager
As a pharmacy manager, you are the higher up; you are the one who hires and assembles the staff; you essentially answer to yourself — all parts of the job that likely never got addressed when taking your classes.

Added the Manufacturer Search Filter to Search Sales
Release Date: 08/18/2022

The Manufacturer search filter is now available in the Search Sales work area. This search filter will identify all sales that include a retail item from a specific manufacturer. The item's manufacturer can be found on the Item Profile by navigating to Item > Edit Rx/Retail Item > Manufacturer.

To use this search filter, navigate to Sale > Search Sales > Advanced Tab > Manufacturer.

Practical Use: Pharmacies can utilize this filter for searching and building reports to assist with manufacturer-specific ordering, marketing, or recall procedures. 

Added Rx Transfer Data Fields to the Rx Search Report Template
Release Date: 08/15/2022

The RxTransferOutTransferedTo, PharmacyName, NPI, Address, and CityStateZip data fields are now available on the Rx Search General Template report template. These data fields will display the pharmacy that the prescription was transferred to, the pharmacy's name, prescriber's NPI number, and address respectively. This information can be found in the Transfer Rx dialog in the Rx Profile by navigating to Rx > Edit Rx > Select a Transferred Rx > Select [...] Next to Transferred (Bottom of the Window). These fields will not be on any reports by default and must be manually added via the Report Designer if needed.

To generate the Rx Search Report, navigate to Rx > Rx Transaction Advanced Search > Enter Search Criteria > Reports.

Practical Use: Pharmacies can use these data fields to improve their RxSearch reports by showing documentation of where a prescription was transferred. Transferred prescription data can be used to more accurately communicate a prescription's history with prescribers, facilities, and patients.

Added the Daily Max Last 90 Days to the Drug Usage Report Template
Release Date: 08/15/2022

The DailyMaxLast90Days and DailyMaxLast90DaysIncludeEquivalents data fields are now available on the Drug Usage Report report template. These data fields will display the highest daily max of a given Rx or retail item filled within the last 90 days. This information can be found on the Item Profile by navigating to Item > Rx Item > Ordering Tab > Reorder Point [...] > Inventory Group Usage Tab > Usage Information. These data fields will not be on any reports by default and must be manually added via the Report Designer if needed.

To generate the Drug Usage report, navigate to Rx > Rx Tab > Binoculars > Enter Search Criteria > Reports

Practical Use: The 90-day daily max calculation provides pharmacies with the most recent and relevant usage for each item and its equivalents. This allows pharmacies to be more precise with their daily inventory ordering.

Added Patient Sync Comments Column to the Rx Transaction Advanced Search Grid
Release Date: 08/11/2022

The Patient Sync Comments column is now available on the Rx Transaction Advanced Search's Expanded, Expanded with Comments, and Financial grid layouts. This column will display the sync comments on the Patient's Profile, which can be found by navigating to Patient > Edit Patient > Profile Tab > Sync Comments. This column will not be on any views by default and must be manually added via the Field Chooser if needed. 

To add this column, navigate to Rx > Rx Transaction Advanced Search > Enter Search Criteria > Search > Field Chooser.

Practical Use: Pharmacies can utilize patient sync comments to explain why a sync medication was not picked up or canceled during their scheduled sync date. Users can add this column to their search grid views to quickly view these comments when interacting with their patients for their next sync transaction.
