Parenting Moments

Presented by Healthier Urban Families at Wayne State University

MAY 2024

Welcome to the month of May. During this month, many families plan for changes that occur as the weather gets warmer and the school year ends. Summer programs and opportunities for children tend to fill up quickly so please plan now! Mother’s Day is also celebrated this month so please take the time out to look at this month’s PowerPoint on how self care could and should be a part of your life. Also, before saying “Happy Mother’s Day, let’s try to be inclusive in thinking about who is mothering children and also be sensitive to those who have experienced loss or are on a fertility journey. May is Mental Health Awareness month so please see the mental health/basic needs resources that are included. Take good care of yourself, and we will see you next month!
