Regina Family,

It's been another busy week at Regina, and our students, faculty and staff have been hard at work.

Our faculty participated in a day of professional development on Monday, January 16th. Our gymnasiums and large meeting rooms are constantly buzzing with girls and boys basketball games, wrestling matches, and practices for the upcoming high school musical, GREASE

On the volunteer front our Regina Athletic Boosters just launched a new March Madness themed fundraiser online, our Parents in Support of the Arts need your cake donations for their annual Cake Auction, and a group of dedicated volunteers are working behind the scenes preparing for the Regina Gala in two weeks. Tickets for the Gala event are now sold out, but there will be great opportunities for everyone to participate in the online Gala Silent Auction coming up soon. Visit www.reginagala.com for more information.

Lastly, Regina hosted a day-long visit by a candidate for our Head of School position. The Head of School search committee is hard at work engaging in that selection process and looks forward to updating the greater Regina community in the near future.

We wish everyone the best of luck in the semester ahead! Go Regals!

Andy Cutter, Chair,

Regina Board of Education

Lynne Devaney,

Superintendent of Schools, Diocese of Davenport

"GREASE: School Version" is a musical about American high schoolers that features music in the rock ‘n roll style of the 1950s. Shorter and more suitable in content for teens and subteens, this abridged version retains the fun-loving spirit and immortal songs that make Grease a favorite among rock and roll fans of all ages. Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company.

Join us February 24- 26, 2023 at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts, as Regina presents Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'," "It's Raining on Prom Night," "Alone at the Drive-In Movie" recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation.
